ACRA Annual Return
A yearly filing to ACRA confirming your company details — officers, shareholders, registered address and financial statements — are up to date.
Not yet independently verified — check the source link: ACRA's 7- vs 8-month Annual Return deadline nuance for companies with an overseas branch register wasn't independently confirmed — most companies use the standard 7-month deadline, confirm if you have an overseas branch register.
A yearly filing to ACRA confirming your company details — officers, shareholders, registered address and financial statements — are up to date. For most private limited companies the deadline is 7 months after your financial year end (FYE). Companies with an overseas branch register may face a different deadline; this guide has not independently confirmed that nuance, so check it directly with ACRA if it applies to you.
Late filing carries a penalty of up to $600, escalating with how late you are, and repeated non-compliance can lead to the company or its officers being prosecuted, and directors being disqualified from holding future directorships.

Who this is for
Every private limited company registered with ACRA.
What you’ll hold
- Filed Annual Return acknowledgement
- Financial statements filed alongside it (XBRL, where required)
Watch out for
- Counting the deadline from your AGM date rather than your financial year end — the two are different anchors.
- Assuming a dormant or newly incorporated company is exempt — the filing duty applies regardless of trading activity.
- Leaving the branch-register question unchecked and defaulting to 7 months when an 8-month deadline may actually apply — confirm with ACRA if you hold an overseas branch register.
