Cellar gas monitor service and calibration
An annual service and calibration of the fixed CO2 / mixed-gas monitor fitted in your cellar or gas store, plus a check that its audible and visible alarm still works.
An annual service and calibration of the fixed CO2 / mixed-gas monitor fitted in your cellar or gas store, plus a check that its audible and visible alarm still works.
A gas monitor that has drifted out of calibration can fail to alarm before CO2 reaches a dangerous concentration — and CO2 is heavier than air, invisible and odourless, so the monitor is the only warning anyone gets.
Ask for a calibration certificate, not just a visual check.
Many wholesalers service the monitor as part of the line-cleaning contract — worth asking before booking a separate engineer.
Who this is for
Any venue with a cellar or gas store using CO2 or mixed gas to dispense drinks.
What you’ll hold
- CO2 monitor calibration certificate
Watch out for
- Assuming a working alarm light means the monitor is still accurately calibrated — sensors drift over time regardless of whether the unit powers on.
- Only testing the alarm sounder and never checking the sensor itself against a calibration gas.
- No record kept of the last calibration date, so nobody notices when it falls overdue.
