Public Entertainment Licence renewal
Your Public Entertainment Licence has to be renewed with the Singapore Police Force before it expires, at whichever category (live music/dancing, or recorded music only) and trading-hours fee tier you currently hold.

Providing public entertainment on a lapsed PEL is an offence, separate from and in addition to any food or liquor licensing you hold β those do not cover you for music or dancing once the entertainment licence itself has lapsed.
Via GoBusiness (SingPass/CorpPass).
Who this is for
Every venue holding a Public Entertainment Licence for live music/dancing (Category 1) or recorded background music (Category 2).
What youβll hold
- Renewed Public Entertainment Licence certificate, with the new expiry date β display it on the premises
Watch out for
- Renewing at Category 2 (recorded music only) after quietly adding a live band or DJ nights β the category needs to match what you actually offer, not what you started with.
- Renewing at a trading-hours tier that no longer matches your actual opening hours, which have crept later since the licence was first granted.
- Forgetting this is separate from COMPASS/MRSS music copyright licensing, which also needs its own separate renewal.
