Liquor licence renewal
Your liquor licence is issued for a fixed term of up to 12 months and has to be renewed with the Singapore Police Force before it expires.
Your liquor licence is issued for a fixed term of up to 12 months and has to be renewed with the Singapore Police Force before it expires. The renewal fee tracks whatever class you hold — the same tiers you paid at first application.
Supplying liquor on an expired licence carries a fine of up to $20,000 (or up to 3 months’ imprisonment for repeat offenders, or both) — the same penalty as never having held a licence at all. There is no grace period once it lapses.
Via GoBusiness (SingPass/CorpPass).
Who this is for
Every venue holding a liquor licence for on-premises supply, retail sale, or wholesale.
What you’ll hold
- Renewed liquor licence certificate, with the new expiry date — display it on the premises
Watch out for
- Waiting for an invoice or reminder from SPF that never comes — the duty to renew on time is yours.
- Renewing at the wrong class because trading has changed since first application (e.g. you now serve spirits, not just beer) without updating the class first.
- Assuming a Class 5 (temporary event) licence you held earlier in the year rolls over into your standing licence — they are entirely separate applications.
