You register your private limited company through BizFile+, ACRA's online filing system — your company name, registered office address, directors, shareholders and constitution all get filed in one application. Most of the process runs entirely online; there is no in-person step for a standard registration.
Almost everything else you need to open — the bank account, the lease, the Food Shop or liquor licence application, GST registration — needs your company's UEN (Unique Entity Number) and exact registered name to match. Nothing else can start until this is done.
About $315 total ($15 name application + $300 registration).
Who this is for
Anyone opening a venue through a Singapore private limited company.
You need a registered office address and a Singapore-resident director confirmed before filing — both are asked for on the application.
What you’ll hold
- Business Profile (from ACRA, once registered)
- Certificate of incorporation
- Company constitution
Watch out for
- Reserving a name that clashes with an existing business or trade mark — ACRA only checks for exact or near-identical duplicates, not general similarity, so a name can pass approval and still cause you trouble later.
- Starting the filing before your registered office address and resident director are actually confirmed — the application asks for both, and a rushed filing gets delayed or rejected.
- Treating registration as one step — it is two separate fees and two separate approvals: name reservation first, then the actual company registration.
