Fire marshal refresher training
Send your named fire marshals / fire wardens back on a short refresher course covering extinguisher use, evacuation procedure and any changes to the premises since their last training.
Send your named fire marshals / fire wardens back on a short refresher course covering extinguisher use, evacuation procedure and any changes to the premises since their last training.
Fire marshal knowledge fades, and premises change — new equipment, new layout, new fire doors. A marshal trained years ago on an old floor plan is not much use in an evacuation of the current one.
Local training providers and BAFE-registered fire safety companies both run these.
Who this is for
Every venue's designated fire marshals / fire wardens.
What you’ll hold
- Refresher training certificate for each fire marshal
Watch out for
- Losing your only trained marshal to staff turnover and not noticing until the next drill.
- Never refreshing training after a refit, so marshals are still directing people to an exit that has moved or been blocked.
- Treating the certificate as a one-off box tick rather than confirming marshals actually remember what to do — pair the refresher with the next drill.
