Food Stall Licence renewal
Your SFA Food Stall Licence has to be renewed before it lapses.
Your SFA Food Stall Licence has to be renewed before it lapses. You can renew for 1 year or pay upfront for 2 years at once β paying 2-yearly halves how often you have to think about it, for the same total fee.
Trading on a lapsed Food Stall Licence is the same offence as trading with no licence at all β SFA can close the stall and prosecute. In a shared food court or coffeeshop, a lapsed stall licence can also affect your standing with the operator, who is often asked to confirm all stallholders are currently licensed.
Via GoBusiness (SingPass/CorpPass). Choose the 1- or 2-year term at renewal.
Who this is for
Every food stall inside a food court, coffeeshop or canteen holding an SFA Food Stall Licence.
What youβll hold
- Renewed Food Stall Licence certificate, with the new expiry date β display it on the stall
Watch out for
- Assuming the food court or coffeeshop operator tracks your licence expiry for you β they generally do not.
- Choosing the 1-year renewal by default and then forgetting to renew again the next year, when a single 2-year payment would have covered it.
- Not updating the licence after a stall handover or change of operator, which needs its own application rather than a simple renewal.
